 Each September, the Western Design Conference features a fashion show of the hottest western fashions in the industry. The show is a favorite event and continues to grow and gain national attention. The Conference has become a premier event for designers to display western fashion as it attracts a large audience of architects, interior designers and western enthusiasts from across the nation.

December 20th - Selection results released by mail. No calls please.

January 15th - Deposit, biography and images due for the Sourcebook.

September 24-27th - 11th Annual WesternDesign Conference

September 24th - Fashion Show

GENERAL INFORMATION: Selected designers will display their couture collectionms on the Western Design Conference Runway September 24, 2003. Designers must show collections that have never been seen before at the Western Design Conference.

TO APPLY to be ont the Western Design Conference runwey, please:

1. Complete the enclosed application.

2. Provide six (6) digital images or 35mm prints which are representative of your work.  Digital images are preferred and are to be submitted in the following format:

  • Images must be scanned at a minimum of 72 DPI and a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels.
  • Please send JPEG files only.
  • E-mail images to gwen@wdcinfo.org or place on disc and mail to WDC office.
  • Please label digital images by company name.
  • If 35mm prints are used, only those with a satin or glossy finish will be accepted. Prints with a matte finish will be rejected!

3. Number and provide a complete description for each design submitted.

4. Enclose a $25 non-refundable jury fee.

5. All applicants will be notified of the designers appearing in the fashion show. These results will be released by mail on or before December 20th.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:
NOVEMBER 30, 2002

ACCEPTANCE

If selected to appear in the 2003 Western Design Conference Fashion Show, entrants will receive a complimentary page in the Sourcebook and the opportunity to display (6) six ensembles on the runway.  

1. Designs must be original to the Western Design conference Fashion Show.

2. The fee for six (6) walks and a selling venue at the Exhibit Hall is $500.

3. Sketches, swatches and descriptions of your collections are due by June 30, 2003.

4. A $250 non-refundable deposit, plus a biography and image for a complimentary page in the Sourcebook, must be received by January 15, 2003. Failure to meet this deadline will mean forfeiture of your page in the Sourcebook.

5. 100% of the $250 deposit will be aplied to your entry fee.

6. WDC will provie a press release to your hometown newspaper.

  • BEST ADAPTATION OF MATERIALS  
  • BEST COLLECTION  
  • BEST NEW DESIGNER
